Who This Helps

Local Veterans

Organizations refer Veterans that are in an Emergency situation. Case workers at Veterans Hospitals refer patients needing assistance. We have paid rents, mortgages, utilities, Security Deposits. We have purchased appliances, household furnishings, burial expenses, and legal fees. We have paid for repairs on cars, appliances and homes. We have helped some of our disabled Veterans get their home a wheel chair ramp and have helped with other expenses getting home wheel chair accessibility.

Freedom House – Portage County

A home for 14 Veterans getting back on track, in a supervised safe environment. Educational setting to become productive, responsible for society and work force. Through the funds we have raised we have purchased a computer and programs and printer. Ham for holidays, 10 doz eggs a month, razors, over the counter medications, and first aid items.

Summit County Stand Down

We have participated for the last 6 years. This is where most local veterans organizations get together and each group brings in items for the veterans in need. We have given out sleeping bags, book bags, flannel jackets, hat, gloves and scarf sets, t-shirts, thermal underwear, fleece jogging sets and hoodie jackets. 350-400 veterans came in 2011.

Akron Outpatient Clinic

Funds purchase socks, underwear, T-shirts through out the year for patients in need.

Warriors Journey Home

Donated monies to help some of our area Vietnam Veterans go back to Vietnam to heal their souls from their war.

Honor Flights of Cleveland

We donated to help some of our WWII Veterans to Washington DC to see the memorial in honor of their service.

Cuyahoga Falls Memorial Bench

Donated to honor the service of the 13 Cuyahoga Falls men that were killed in action in Vietnam.

Valor Home – Summit County

We sponsored 4 rooms in the Valor Home. This will be a 32 bed facility for Summit County Veterans. This facility is like the Freedom House in Portage County. The programs and environment that a veteran that has been struggling needs to benefit our society.

Valor Home Emergency Housing

Carroll Street in Akron. This is a new project but the house has housed veterans for the past years. The home has gone through a over haul and we donated, bedding, pillows, comforter sets, kitchen wares, bathroom toiletries and towels and wash clothes. Paper goods dish sets, silverware sets, washer and dryer set.

Special Christmas Projects

Helping families with getting together for holidays with family members out of state. Some bought presents to make a memorable Christmas.

Freedom Quilts

Donate yearly, they make one quilt for each family that has lost a loved one in war and one for each of the families of 911 victims.

Care Packages

Send monthly care packages over to our active military.

Veterans Relief Commission

Help defray cost of postage on their packages to the troops.

3/25 Reunion

We helped organize and provided food and beverage for all the Marines that served in Iraq together.


Donate for their programs abroad.

Clinton Memorial Park

Donate to help with ongoing cost.
